CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Roy Harper
CANON: DC Comics
AGE: 18
CANON POINT: Shortly after leaving Dinah's apartment the day after Ollie throws him out for being addicted to heroin
BACKGROUND: History is here!
INCENTIVE: Things have gone to shit back home and he'd love to be able to completely disappear for however long it takes to get himself back together. His incentive is that when he returns, no one will know that he ever took heroin. He wants to quit on his own to prove to himself that he's strong enough to do it, though. This incentive was not approved by the mods.
Roy's incentive is to have a place that feels like home. As such, he's been invited to stay in Eudio after his quota is filled if it feels right, but the Powers That Be will also set a place up for him back home if he so chooses.
FIT: Roy is a very physical person. He likes to hug and bump shoulders and wrestle. He's a huge flirt and a playboy. Emotional intimacy is a little more of a struggle for him, though. It's kinda like a huge dam. There's definitely a lot behind that wall but unless you take the time to bust through it, you're not gonna get much. Once you do, however, it's a flood and it's a lot harder to put that wall back up than it is to tear it down.
CONSENT: Ollie may be a flake and a half as well as a rampant playboy, but he understands consent and he passed those lessons on to Roy. Roy is a horrible flirt but when he's rejected, he doesn't take it any further. He frequently hits on people who have the capability to crush him with their pinky finger, he knows how to take a no.
SAMPLES:
[Audio cuts in to a male voice. Young, rough. Like he hasn't slept in a while.]
How does this--? Wait, red light, that means it's recording.
[There's the kind of fumbling that tells of someone familiar enough with technology, just not this particular kind.]
Didn't know they made phones this small. S'more like a computer than a phone.
[He clears his throat, speaking at a normal level.]
Uh, hey. I'm Roy. New in town. Don't suppose you cats got an archery range, do ya?
ANYTHING ELSE? Roy is roughly two days into heroin withdrawal, so he's just about past the worst of it. He will absolutely refuse any medication to help with the symptoms, he is damn determined to quit cold-turkey.
